Obituary of Rachel Holloway Perry

~~Funeral services for Rachel Holloway Perry, age 78, of Wedowee will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at 11:30 AM from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Claude Bennett officiating.  Burial will follow at Midway United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:00-11:30 AM on Saturday, May 6 before services begin.
Mrs. Perry passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017, at the Bethany House in Auburn.
Survivors include: one daughter, Theresa Brown of Wedowee; two grandchildren, Dylan Waldrep and Lauren Terrell, both of Wedowee; one sister, Lillie Richardson of California; and two brothers, Walter Holloway of Roanoke and Larry Holloway of Wedowee.
A Randolph County native, Mrs. Perry was born on January 10, 1939, the daughter of Roy and Maudie Simpson Holloway.  She was Baptist by faith and had worked as a hostess for Jack’s Restaurants.  Mrs. Perry was preceded in death by her parent; her husband, Verlie Perry; four sisters, Mavis Hand, Francis Wilson, Sarah Martin, and Bernice Holloway; and two brothers, Harvis and Roosevelt Holloway.
