Obituary of Wanda McIntosh

Funeral services for Wanda Sue Keaton McIntosh, age 60, of Woodland will be held on Monday, July 10, 2017, at 2:00 PM from Gray Hill Church of God with Rev. Mark Moore officiating.  Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Sunday, July 9, 2017.  Mrs. McIntosh will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Monday.

Mrs. McIntosh passed away Saturday, July 08, 2017, at Wedowee Hospital.

Survivors include her husband, Robert McIntosh of Woodland; one daughter, Lisa Sheats of Woodland; two sons, Jason McIntosh of Woodland and Jeremy McIntosh of Newell; 11 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; parents, Clyde & Pat Shirey of Bowdon, GA; three sisters, Peggy Spradlin of Bowdon Junction, GA, Vicki Hand of Whitesburg, GA, and Sheila Vasser of Villa Rica, GA; and one brother, Tommy Shirey of Mt. Zion, GA.

A Villa Rica, Georgia native, Mrs. McIntosh was born on March 5, 1957, the daughter of Bobby Keaton and Pat Thornton Shirey.  She was a member of Gray Hill Church of God and worked for Bremen Bowdon Investments.  Mrs. McIntosh was preceded in death by her father and grandmother, Lela Thornton.
