Obituary of Ava Lee Rostofer

Funeral services for Ava Lee Rostofer, age 74, of Heflin will be held on Sunday, August 6, 2017, at 2:00 PM at Union Baptist Church with Rev. David Taft officiating.  Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Saturday, August 5, 2017.  Mrs. Rostofer will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Sunday.

Mrs. Rostofer passed away at her residence on Thursday, August 3, 2017.

Survivors include: three daughters, Wanda Howell of Pell City, Cary Kilgore of Woodland, and Donna Forman of Heflin; two sons, Randy Rostofer of Roanoke and Gary Rostofer of Woodland; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Kenneth Morrow of Atmore and Jimmy Morrow of Piedmont.

Pallbearers will be Mrs. Rostofer’s grandchildren.

A Randolph County native, Mrs. Rostofer was born on February 19, 1943, the daughter of Wilmer and Wilma McLeroy Morrow.  She was Baptist by faith and worked for Brian Lindley Farms.  Mrs. Rostofer was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Rostofer; one son, Thomas Rostofer; one daughter, Janice Rostofer; grandchildren, Anna Forman and Crimson Rostofer; and one brother, Clarence Morrow.
