Obituary of Debbie Morgan Traylor

Funeral services for Debbie Morgan Traylor, age 60, of Woodland will be held on Sunday, September 17, 2017, at 2:00 PM at Zion Baptist Church with Rev. David Daniel officiating.  Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Saturday, September 16, 2017.  Mrs. Traylor will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Sunday.

Mrs. Traylor passed away Friday, September 15, 2017, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.

Survivors include her husband, Tommy Traylor of Woodland; two daughters, Morgan Traylor of Clarkston, GA, and Nancy Heard (husband, Travis) of Woodland; one son, Tray Traylor of Woodland; one granddaughter, Payton Reese; and one sister, Martha Morrison (husband, Larry) of Woodland.

A Ranburne native, Mrs. Traylor was born on August 27, 1957, the daughter of Walter and Blanche Gay Morgan.  She was Baptist by faith and worked as a teacher in Randolph County, Alabama, and Heard County, Georgia.  Mrs. Traylor was preceded in death by her parents.
