Obituary of Evelyn Adamson Bradley

Funeral services for Evelyn Adamson Bradley, age 84, of Wedowee will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at 2:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Randall Eidson officiating.  Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 18, 2017.

Ms. Bradley passed away Sunday, October 15, 2017, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.

Survivors include: five sons, Hank Cumbee of South Carolina, David Micha

el Cumbee of Heflin, Robert Cumbee of Carrollton, GA, Perry Cumbee of Wedowee, and Terry Lynn Bradley of Prairie Grove, AK; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Laverne Dobson of Oxford; and three brothers, Bobby Adamson of Wedowee, Comer Adamson of Florida, and Dwayne Adamson of Wedowee.

Pallbearers will be Ms. Bradley’s family.

A Wedowee native, Ms. Bradley was born on August 11, 1933, the daughter of John Wesley and Delia H. Bean Adamson.  She was Baptist by faith and worked as a seamstress for Lamar Manufacturing Co.  Ms. Bradley was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and four brothers.
