Obituary of Alfred K. Harpole, Jr.

Memorial services for Alfred K. “Buddy” Harpole, Jr., age 74, of Wedowee will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at 11:00 AM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Max McCord officiating.

Mr. Harpole passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017, at his residence.

Survivors include his wife, Dorthy Diane Harpole of Wedowee; one daughters, Renee Harpole McElhaney of LaGrange, GA; one son, David Knox Harpole (Rhonda) of LaGrange, GA; five grandchildren; one sister, Linda Harpole Gower of Tennessee; and one brother, Horace “Ted” Wilson Harpole of Jackson, TN.

An Earle, Arkansas native, Mr. Harpole was born on September 19, 1943, the son of Alfred K. Harpole, Sr., and Sarah Wilson Harpole.  He was a member of a Presbyterian church in Dyer, Tennessee, and was the owner of Industrial Pallet Supply, Inc.  Mr. Harpole was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Sarah Jane Horner; and one son-in-law, Mitchel Kimball.
