Obituary of William Lloyd Craft

Funeral services for William Lloyd Craft, age 63, of Wedowee will be held on Friday, December 15, 2017, at 2:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bobby Burroughs and Rev. John Roberts officiating.  Burial will follow at Union Hill Congregational Methodist Cemetery with Masonic graveside rites.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00-2:00 on Friday, December 15 before services begin.

Mr. Craft passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at Tanner East Alabama in Wedowee.

Survivors include his wife, Lori M. Craft of Wedowee; two daughters, Jennifer Craft Gilbert of Anniston and Lori Anne Benadum of Pueblo, CO; three stepdaughters, Brooklyn Goolesby, Ashley Jones (Bradley), and Shay Lingerfelt; one stepson, Lance Bolt of Wedowee; 13 grandchildren; two sisters, Louise Ogle of Anniston and Linda Howard of Oxford; and special brother, Jason Jones (Kelly) of Wedowee.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Gilbert, Austin Bain, Josh Bain, Billy Bob Bain, Malakhi Gilbert, and Brian Bain.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Sheppard, Larry Simons, and Steve Key.

A lifelong Wedowee resident, Mr. Craft was born in Lineville on February 11, 1954, the son of William Alford and Nora Key Craft.  He was a member of Union Hill Congregational Methodist Church and worked as a Machinest for L. E. Bell.  Mr. Craft was preceded in death by his parents.
