Obituary of Laura Norris

Funeral services for Laura Norris, age 67, of Anniston will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018, at 1:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Barry Cosper, Rev. Jerry Wiggins, and Dr. Roland Brown officiating.  Burial will follow at Bethel East Baptist Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, March 8, 2018.

Mrs. Norris passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center in Anniston.

Survivors include: one son, Jamie Norris of Anniston; two sisters, Bretha Bryan of Carrollton, GA, and Nita Dewberry of Graham, AL; three brothers, John Dewberry of Trickum Valley, AL, Glenn Dewberry of Columbus, GA, and Michael Dewberry of Graham, AL; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Donald Dewberry, Kenny Bryan, John Bryan, Matt Bryan, Neil Weathington, Tim Cofield, Gary Parmer, and Jamie Taylor.

An Anniston native, Mrs. Norris was born on January 25, 1950, the daughter of John A. and Gladys M. Noles Dewberry.  She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and was a retired nurse from Lafayette Nursing Home.  Mrs. Norris was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald Norris; one son, Justin Norris; and one brother, Terry Dewberry.
