Obituary of Douglas Ronnie Andrews

Funeral services for Douglas Ronnie Andrews, age 50, of Wedowee, will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at 1:00 PM at Zion Rest Baptist Church with Rev. William Phillips officiating.  Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Monday, April 9, 2018.  Mr. Andrews will lay in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Tuesday.

Mr. Andrews passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018, at his residence.

Survivors include his wife, Phyliss Andrews of Wedowee; one son, Douglas Rosby Andrews, Jr.; and three sisters, Deloris Andrews, Shinna Morgan, and Ebony Johnson, all of Carrollton, GA. 

Pallbearers will be Mr. Andrews friends and family.

A Wedowee native, Mr. Andrews was born on February 8, 1968, the son of Douglas Lane and Edith Andrews.  He was a member of Zion Rest Baptist Church and ran a crane for Steel Fab before being disabled. Mr. Andrews was preceded in death by his parents.
