Obituary of Aaron Marion Holloway

Funeral services for Aaron Marion Holloway, age 78, of Woodland will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2018, at 2:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Claude Bennett and Rev. Taylor officiating.  Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:30-8:00 PM on Saturday, May 19, 2018.

Mr. Holloway passed away Friday, May 18, 2018, at his residence.

Survivors include his wife, Brinice Holloway of Woodland; two daughters, Melinda Harden (Carlos) of Wedowee and Penny Kircus of Sylacauga, AL; two stepdaughters, Gail Butler (Jene) of Rock Mills and Diane Kellum (George) of Newell; one stepson, Steve Butler (Kathy) of Roanoke; four grandchildren, Crystal Waldrop, Andrew Smith (Jessica), Austin Chase Butler, and Lee Butler; one great-grandchild, Greyson Smith; two sisters, Imogene Colwell of Heflin and Jelima Adamson (Jimmy) of Lineville; three brothers, Buddy Holloway (Mary Jane) of Woodland, Carey Holloway (Ellen) of Rock Mills and Sanford Holloway (Jane) of Bethel East; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Carey Holloway, Buddy Holloway, Shannon Richardson, Russell Norred, Sanford Holloway, and Barry Nelson.

A Wedowee native, Mr. Holloway was born on September 9, 1939, the son of Newman and Bertha Harmon Holloway.  He was a member of Union Hill Congregational Methodist Church and worked as a truck driver.  Mr. Holloway was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Nick Waldrop; and two brothers, Wallace and Jackie Holloway.
