Obituary of Janice Waldrop Lee

Funeral services for Janice Waldrop Lee, age 74, of Woodland will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018, at 3:00 PM at Bear Creek United Methodist Church with Rev. Jacob Wilkerson officiating.  Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Friday, May 25, 2018.  Mrs. Lee will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Saturday.

Mrs. Lee passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Georgia.

Survivors include her husband, Wallace Lee; two daughters, Jenni Lee of Moody and Jana Zeitvogel (C.J.) of Trussville; two sons, Greg Lee (Tracie) of Pelham and Tim Lee (Casey) of Moody; five grandchildren, Jill Richardson (Michael), Savannah Stephens (Chase), David Lee, Carson Zeitvogel, and Jackson Zeitvogel; and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Lee, Jason Lee, Brad Maxwell, Brandon White, Chris Landry, and Michael Richardson.  Honorary pallbearers will be Shane White, Phil Maxwell, Chase Stephens, Randy Waldrop and Jeff Waldrop.

A LaGrange, Georgia native, Mrs. Lee was born on August 5, 1943, the daughter of Ford Eugene and Grace Conley Waldrop.  She was a member of Bear Creek United Methodist Church and worked in the payroll department of Jefferson State Community College.  Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
