Obituary of Henry David Daniel

Funeral services for Henry David Daniel, age 74, of Woodland will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at 2:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Tony Whiddon, Donald Thompson, and Billy Prince, Jr., officiating.  Burial will follow at Oak Grove Church of Christ Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, June 19, 2018. 

Mr. Daniel passed away Monday, June 18, 2018, at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda P. Daniel of Woodland; one daughter, Alanna Sutton (Alec) of Rock Hill, SC; one son, Allan Wayne Daniel (Thelma) of Woodland; four grandchildren, Jonathan Daniel (Rachel), Jennifer Daniel, Jesse Sutton, and Xander Sutton; and one sister, Linda Murphy of Woodland.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Sanders, Jason Murphy, James Daniel, Ronald Daniel, Wayne Messer, and Daniel Padgett.

A Woodland native, Mr. Daniel was born on February 8, 1944, the son of Henry Grady and Fannie Shelnutt Daniel.  He was a member of the Church of Christ, retired as an insurance salesman for Liberty National Life Insurance Company and was an avid sportsman and outdoorsman.  Mr. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and four brothers.
