Obituary of Jessie Denzil Crenshaw
Funeral services for Jessie Denzil Crenshaw, age 82, of Woodland will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at 3:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Bro. Ronnie Prince and Rev. Donald Spradlin officiating. Burial will follow at Napoleon Church of Christ Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00-3:00 on Tuesday before services begin.
Mr. Crenshaw passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018, at Majestic Senior Living in Bowdon, Georgia.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Crenshaw of Woodland; three daughters, Debra Gosdin of Woodland, Sylvia Burns of Ranburne, and Sherri Smith (Scott) of Ranburne; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Colleen Workman of Roopville, GA, Claris Brown and Terrie Kidd, both of Franklin.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Earl, Ryan Gosdin, Robbie Burns, Logan Smith, Jarret Earl, and Avery Earl. Honorary pallbearers will be John Thomas Brown and John Burns.
A Woodland native, Mr. Crenshaw was born on January 5, 1936, the son of Jessie Carlton and Ila Lou Richardson Crenshaw. He was a member of Napoleon Church of Christ and worked as a pipefitter for Daniel Construction. Mr. Crenshaw enjoyed camping, playing dominoes, birdwatching, gardening, and was an avid Atlanta Braves and Auburn Tigers fan. He was preceded in death by his parents.
