Obituary of June Elizabeth Stewart

Funeral services for June Elizabeth Stewart, age 75, of Woodland, AL, will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018, at 3:00 PM from the Benefield Funeral Chapel with Bro. Gerald Romine officiating. Burial will follow at Wortham Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00-3:00 PM on Saturday, July 21, 2018.

Mrs. Stewart passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2018, at her home.

Survivors include: one daughter, Annie Pool of Greenville, AL; two sons, Robin Stewart and Garfield Stewart, both of Woodland; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Fannie Barnett of Greenboro, GA, Brenda Stewart of Georgia, and Gloria Durham of Opelika; and three brothers, Troy Stewart of Greenboro, GA, Fred Stewart of Opelika, and Boyd Stewart of Jackson’s Gap, AL.

Pallbearers will be Howard Stewart, David Taft Stewart, Joe Pool, Jeremy Pool, Jonathon Ennis, and Teddy Ennis.

A Madison, Georgia native, Mrs. Stewart was born on June 27, 1943, the daughter of Robin and Ruth Randall Stewart.  She was Church of Christ by faith and was a housewife.  Mrs. Stewart was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Howard Taft Stewart; two sons, Howard and David Stewart; and two brothers.
