Obituary of Flora Prince

Funeral services for Flora J. Prince, age 90, of Jacksonville, FL, will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018, at 2:00 PM at Napoleon Church of Christ with Bro. Larry Thompson officiating.  Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Friday, August 31, 2018.  Mrs. Prince will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Saturday.

Mrs. Prince passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at Harland Nursing Home in Jacksonville, Florida.

Survivors include: one daughter, Lynn Sessions of Jacksonville, FL; two sons, Phillip Prince of Jacksonville, FL, and Steven Prince of Wedowee; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Chad Rath, Zach Crooks, Mike Wallace, Mark Smith, Mark Hurd, and Billy Prince.

A Roanoke native, Mrs. Prince was born on August 12, 1928, the daughter of Fletcher and Eunice Waldrop Broach.  She was a member of Cedarhurst Church of Christ and worked as a secretary for Taylor Insurance Company.  Mrs. Prince was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gordon Prince; one daughter, Donna Marie; three sisters; and one brother.
