Obituary of Angela Kerr Murphy

Funeral services for Angela Kerr Murphy, age 68, of Newell will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at 2:00 PM at Jordan Chapel Cong. Methodist Church with Rev. Chris Mitchell officiating.  Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Murphy passed away Monday, November 12, 2018, at Regional Medical Center in Anniston.

Survivors include her mother, Lula Mae Kerr Murphy and several cousins and friends. 

A lifelong Randolph County resident, Ms. Murphy was born on May 7, 1950, the daughter of Harry Richard Murphy, Sr., and Lula Mae Kerr Murphy.  She was a member of the University Baptist Church of Montevallo and worked as a social worker for the State of Alabama.  Ms. Kerr was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Richard Murphy.
