Obituary of Macie McGill Hodges

Graveside services for Macie McGill Hodges, age 87, of Wadley, AL, will be held on Sunday, November 25, 2018, at 2:00 P.M. from Corinth Christian Church Cemetery with Bro. Tim Whaley officiating. Benefield Funeral Home is in charge of arrangement.

The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00 P.M.  on Saturday, November 24, 2018.

Mrs. Hodges passed away on Friday, November 23, 2018, at LaGrange Hospice in LaGrange, Georgia.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Knight of Wadley; one grandson, Wendell Knight (Amanda) of Wadley; one great-granddaughter, Katelyn Knight and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Ronald Caldwell, Donald Caldwell, Clint Wade, Eddie Moncus, Jimmy Bennett and Michael Caypless.

A Wadley native, Mrs. Hodges was born on October 08, 1931, the daughter of Ed McGill and Mollie Camp McGill.  She was a member of Corinth Christian Church and had worked as a seamstress at Roanoke Fashion. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, R.J. “Junior” Hodges; sisters, Anner McGill, Maude Caldwell, Nonnie Reese and Opal Moncus; one brother, R.J. McGill.
