Obituary of Bernice Harris Wright

Funeral services for Bernice Harris Wright, 75, of Wedowee, AL, will be held Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 2:00 PM from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Pastor Mark Young officiating. Burial will be at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 PM on Tuesday, December 4, 2018.

Mrs. Wright passed away November 29, 2018 at UAB Hospital, Birmingham, Al.

She is survived by her husband, John A. Wright of Wedowee; daughter, Sharon Sullinger of Wedowee; three sons, Tim Wright (Lisa) of Franklin, GA, Keith Wright of Wedowee, Kevin Wright of Wedowee; 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, LuGenia Gantt of Florida, Maggie Green of Roanoke; two brothers, James Harris of Wedowee, and Charles Harris of South Carolina.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

A lifelong resident of Randolph Co., Mrs. Wright was born on October 24, 1943, the daughter of Vester Harris and Ruth Tucker Harris.  She had worked as a secretary of the medical records at Roanoke Health Care.  She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, John Wright Jr.; one sister; three brothers, and one son-in-law, Alton Sullinger.
