Obituary of David Shane Freeman

Funeral services for David Shane Freeman, 20, of Wedowee will be held on Friday, December 7, 2018, at 1:00 PM, at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jerry Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow in Wedowee City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, December 6, 2018.

Shane passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at his residence.

Survivors include: one sister, Whitney Johnson; and one brother, Thomas Freeman; his foster parents, Jerry and Gertrude Johnson; uncles and aunts and friends, Joy Brooks and Wendy Moore.

A Gadsden, Alabama native, Shane was born on April 1, 1998.  He was a member of New Zion Baptist Church and a graduate of Randolph County High School.  Shane was a big Alabama fan and always had a smile on his face, and no matter how bad a day you were having, he could make it better.  He will be greatly missed.
