Obituary of Bonnie Lee Sanders

Graveside services for Bonnie Lee Sanders, age 94, of Roanoke will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2018, at 2:00 PM at Potash Cemetery with Bro. Keith Benefield and Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30-1:30 PM on Thursday, December 13 before services begin.

Mrs. Sanders passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at Traylor’s Nursing Center.

Survivors include: three sons, Richard Sanders, Rodney Sanders, and John Todd Sanders; and one granddaughter, Cassie Mae Sanders.

A Roanoke native, Mrs. Sanders was born on August 11, 1924, the daughter of Homer L. and Glemah Robinson Bowen.  She was a member of Woodland Church of God and was retired from Rolane Fabrics.  Mrs. Sanders was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Anthony F. Sanders, Jr.; two sons, Donald Ray Sanders and Rene Sanders; one grandson, Anthony Clyde Sanders; one brother, Charlie Durell Bowen; and five sisters, Ertis Hammock, Gertie Wood, Mary Jo Black, Dorothy Bowen, and Janice Bowen.
