Funeral services for Mildred White Teague, age 98, of Wedowee will be held on Friday February 1, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church with Dr. Steve Dempsey officiating.  Burial will follow at Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, January 31, 2019.

Mrs. Teague passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2019, in Florida.

Survivors include her two daughters, Sarilyn Murphy and Marilyn Williams and one son, Dan Driscoll all of Wedowee; one grandchild, Mindy Cavender Burke; two great-grandchildren;

Pallbearers will be Mike Marlow, Wendell Huddleston, David Hallmark, Riley Burke, Jerry Murphy and Kermit White.

A Randolph County native, Mrs. Teague was born on December 21, 1920, the daughter of Eppy Ezra and Pearl Missouri Wood White. She was retired from Sewell Manufacturing Co. and Blue Mountain Cotton Mill and as a housewife. She was a veteran of World War II serving in the Women’s Army Corps. She was a member of Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church. Mrs. Teague was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dewey Lyman Teague; four brothers MSGT Peter Larry White, Garvis Lee White, Lachland R. White and Otis Clyde White; a Great-Grandson Dalton Burke; one daughter-in-law Susan Driscoll.
