Obituary of Edna Lois Willingham

Funeral services for Edna Lois Vinson Willingham, 87, of Woodland will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Bro. Ricky Murphy and Bro. Bill Prince, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow at Oak Grove Church of Christ Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Monday, March 25, 2019.

Mrs. Willingham passed away Sunday, March 24, 2019, at Tanner-East Alabama Medical Center in Wedowee.

Survivors include: one daughter, Rita Shelton (husband, Wendell) of Woodland; one son, Wade Willingham (wife, Debra) of Woodland; two grandchildren, Kelly Harris (husband, Michael) and Dustin Shelton (wife, Kayla); five great-grandchildren, Micah, Maggie, and Eli Harris and Isaac and Jase Shelton; three sisters, Dorothy Spradlin of Palatka, FL, Faye Bailey of Hoover, and Nora Jones of Georgetown, FL; and one brother, Wayne Vinson of Cragford.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Shelton, Michael Harris, Chris Phillips, Mike Strain, Roderick Vinson, and Victor Vinson.

A Woodland native, Mrs. Willingham was born on February 21, 1932, the daughter of Willis and Emma Browning Vinson.  She was a member of Oak Grove Church of Christ and was a retired seamstress with Palm Beach.  Mrs. Willingham was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim Tom Willingham; one son, Jerry Glenn Willingham; two sisters and two brothers.
