Obituary of Bennett Wayne Wheeles

Bennett Wayne Wheeles, age 64, of Wadley passed away Friday, July 12, 2019, at his residence.

Survivors include his wife, Marchell Wheeles of Wadley; five sons, Brandon Wheeles and Waylon Wheeles (wife, Christie), both of Lineville, Dillion Wheeles of Wadley, Joey Knight of Phenix City, and Brandon Knight of Wadley; 11 grandchildren; four sisters, Jo Roughton of Mellow Valley, Shirley Baker of Wetumpka, Jane Chavers of Oneonta, and Mary Jordan of Anderson, SC; two brothers, Jerry Wheeles of Alex City and David Wheeles of Ashland; special friend, Kristina Blevins; and several nieces and nephews.

An Ashland native, Mr. Wheeles was born on July 2, 1955, the son of Elmer and Kate Matt

ox Wheeles.  He was Baptist by faith.  Mr. Wheeles was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Tanner Knight and three other grandchildren; one sister and one brother.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
