Funeral services for Armando Velasquez Diaz, age 48, of Wedowee, formerly of Guatemala will be held on Friday, September 27, 2019, at 6:00 PM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Wedowee.
Mr. Velasquez Diaz passed away Monday, September 23, 2019, at Tanner-East Alabama Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Estefania Velasquez of Guatemala; four sons, Rudy Velasquez, Elio Velasquez, Leonardo Velasquez, and Adres Velasquez; two grandchildren; one sister, Cristina Velasquez; and one brother, Raven Velasquez.
A Tacana, San Marcos native, Mr. Velasquez Diaz was born on June 11, 1971, the son of Anselmo Velasquez Sanchez and Victoria Diaz. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and worked in construction.
