Obituary of Lisa Diana Pettit

Funeral services for Lisa Diana Pettit, age 45, of Heflin, will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 26, 2019, at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Wayne Pike and Rev. Shane Leggett officiating.  Burial will follow at Open Door Baptist Church Cemetery in Delta, AL.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, September 25^th.

Mrs. Pettit died Tuesday, September 24, 2019, at UAB Palliative Care in Birmingham.

Survivors include her husband, Chris Pettit; three daughters, Kayla Houston (Octavius) of Wedowee, Tracy Leggett (Shane) of Heflin and Misty Gore (Michael), also of Heflin;  four sons, Cody Burgess (Michelle) of Germany and Braiden Pettit, Aiden Pettit and Jayden Pettit, all of Heflin; her parents, Herman and Joyce Ragan; two sisters, Wanda Brooks (Kevin) and Margie Bearden (Ernie), both of Heflin; two brothers, Ray Ragan (Ann) of Wedowee and Paul Ragan (Donna) of Delta; and 13 grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Kyle Ragan, Coy Burk, Michael Burk, Jeff Pruitt, Woody Pruitt and Jonathan Newborn.

A native of Centre, Mrs. Pettit was born January 4, 1974, the daughter of Herman and Joyce Pruitt Ragan.  She was a homemaker and a member of Open Door Baptist Church.
