Funeral services for Willie Dean Williamson Sprayberry, age 81, of Wedowee will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church with Bro. Steve Dempsey and Tom Williamson officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM On Monday, January 27, 2020. Mrs. Sprayberry passed away Sunday, January 26, 2020, at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Georgia. Survivors include: six sons, Tom Williamson (Glynda) of Wedowee, Freddie Williamson (Rhonda) of Heflin, Joe Williamson (Kathy) of Newell, Terry Williamson (Debra) of Heflin, Mike Williamson of Newell, and Willie Williamson of Heflin; two stepsons, Gary Sprayberry (Virginia) of Heflin and Johnny Sprayberry (Linda) of Anniston; one stepdaughter, Brenda Dingler of Cleburne County; and three brothers, Fred L. Buckhannan and Kenny D. Buckhannan, both of Newell, and Jacky H. Buckhannan of Buchanan, Georgia. Pallbearers will be Josh Williamson, Seth Ragsdale, Cane Morgan, Roger Buckhannan, Eddie Lindley, and Wendell Buckhanan. A Randolph County native, Mrs. Sprayberry was born on March 13, 1938, the daughter of Fred H. and Loette M. Parmer Buckhanan. She was a member of Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church and worked as a lineman for Tyson Chicken. Mrs. Sprayberry was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Bobby G. Williamson; her second husband, Elmer T. Sprayberry; and a stepson, Tommy Sprayberry.
