Funeral services for Gregory A. Stroud, age 48, of Carrollton, GA, will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at 11:00 AM CST at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Bro. Wayne Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Herren’s Grove Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00-7:00 PM CST on Tuesday, March 3, 2020. Mr. Stroud passed away Sunday, March 1, 2020, at his residence at 103 Old Mill Court, Carrollton, GA. Survivors include his parents, Andy and Jerry Stroud of Newell; two sisters, Vicki Stroud of Dallas, GA, and Michelle Stroud of Birmingham, AL; and six brothers, Drew Stroud of Woodstock, GA, Keith Stroud of Cartersville, GA, Jack Graves of Carrollton, Ga, Tommy Vasaloski of Carrollton, Ga, Jason Stroud of Newell, AL, and Luke Stroud of Newell, AL; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Mr. Stroud’s family and friends. A Georgia native, Mr. Stroud was born on October 16, 1971, the son of Thomas Vasaloski and Jerry K. Hughes Stroud. He was United Methodist by faith and worked as an electrician with Whitehead Electric and was a member of IBEW Local 613. Mr. Stroud was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Bruce Graves. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
