Obituary of Terry Lawrence Wilkinson

Graveside services for Terry Lawrence Wilkinson, age 78, of Wadley will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Pine Grove Cemetery with Rev. Paul Wilson officiating and Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Wilkinson passed away Thursday, April 2, 2020, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, AL. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy S. Wilkinson of Wadley; son, Chad Wilkinson of Wadley; daughter, Cissy Pybus (Andy) of Newnan, GA; grandchildren, Harley Eftink (Aaron) of Jackson, AL, and Gus Wilkinson of Wadley; brother, Tom Wilkinson (Dolores) of Marietta, GA; and several beloved nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Scott Stewart, Gus Wilkinson, Andy Pybus, David Camp, Andrew Wilkinson, and Aaron Eftink. A Wadley native, Mr. Wilkinson was born on October 7, 1941, the son of Andrew and Nellie Camp Wilkinson. He attended Malone Methodist Church as a young man and later attended Wadley Baptist Church and worked 41 years with the railroad, starting with Atlantic Coast Line and retiring from CSX. Mr. Wilkinson was an avid golfer and loved his family and friends and loved living in Malone. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Crystal Wilkinson.
