Obituary of Blanch Brown

Graveside services for Blanch Brown, age 78, of Roanoke will be held on Monday, April 13, 2020, at 3:00 PM at Heritage Baptist Cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Brown passed away Friday, April 10, 2020, at her residence. Survivors include: two stepsons, Chad Brown and Donnie Brown; three grandchildren, Curt Brown, Nikki Brown, and Donna Meadows; four great-grandchildren, Weston Mitchell, Whitley Brown, Katie Harris, and Drew Meadows; one great-great-grandchild, Nealey Beck Harris; one brother, Willie Bob McDaniel; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Curt Brown, Chad Brown, and Keith Gilliland. A Roanoke native, Mrs. Brown was born on April 11, 1941, the daughter of William Shellie and Laura Eugene Mulkey McDaniel. She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church and worked at Handley Mills and Amoco Fabrics and Fibers. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Curtis Manley Brown; two brothers, Bud McDaniel and Horace McDaniel; and two sisters, Peggy Faye McDaniel and Nancy Hunt.
