Peggy Evelyn Gore, age 83, of Palmetto, FL, passed away Friday, April 17, 2020, at her residence.
Survivors include: three daughters, Rosa Lee Cox (Thomas) of Ellenton, FL, Virginia West (Terry) of Roanoke, AL, and Emma Perry (Danny) of Palmetto, FL; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Billy Hawkins of North Carolina and Larry Hawkins of Georgia.
A Kentucky native, Mrs. Gore was born on February 3, 1937, the daughter of Ollie Thomas and Nell Oliver Hawkins. She was Baptist by faith and worked in food service at Manatee Hospital. Mrs. Gore was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Edgar Gore, Sr.; two daughters; one son; and one brother.
A private graveside service will be held.
