Obituary of Brenda Goodwin

Private graveside services for Brenda Robertson Goodwin, age 58, of Wedowee will be held at Pine Flat Primitive Baptist Cemetery with Elder Thomas Knight and Pastor Veresia Houston officiating and Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:30-7:00 PM On Thursday, April 23, 2020. Mrs. Goodwin passed away Sunday, April 19, 2020, at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia. Survivors include: one son, Torezz Robertson of Jacksonville, FL; one grandchild; seven sisters, Lillie Robertson of Wedowee, AL, Patsy Winston of Carrollton, GA, Ann Robertson and Minnie Trammell, both of Wedowee, Mary Robertson of Carrollton, GA, Alice Knight of Georgia and Mary Pearson of Alabama; six brothers, John Robertson and Ray Robertson, both of Wedowee, Sanders Robertson of Roanoke; Lewis Knight of Atlanta, GA, Manuel Knight of Atlanta, GA, and Dallas Knight of North Carolina; two sisters-in-law, Dean Thomas of South Carolina and Brunette Phillips of Newnan, GA; and two brothers-in-law, Fred Goodwin of Wedowee and Tommy Glenn of Atlanta, GA. Pallbearers will be Mrs. Goodwin’s nephews. A Wedowee native, Mrs. Goodwin was born on July 31, 1961, the daughter of Horace Ray Bailey, Dorothy Jean Robertson, Marty Green Knight, and Alice Knight. She was a member of Pine Flat Primitive Baptist Church and worked at Corelinc. Mrs. Goodwin was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Danny Goodwin; two sons, Demetrius Robertson and Michael Robertson; and two sisters.
