Obituary of Mildred Handley Jones

Graveside services for Mildred Handley Jones, age 81, of Lineville, AL, will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2020, at 11:45 AM CST at Liberty Grove Congregational Methodist Cemetery, Woodland, AL, with Rev. Joey Anderson and Rev. Greg Norred officiating and Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Jones passed away Thursday, May 14, 2020, at Regional Medical Center. Survivors include her husband, Bobby Wayne Jones of Lineville; five daughters, Deborah Haynes of Lineville, Sheila Clark of Jacksonville, Donna Jones of Lineville, Rebecca Mansour (Michael) of Carrollton, GA, and Rita Jones of Roanoke; one son, Bobby Paul Jones of Wedowee; one sister, Louise Hammond of Oxford; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Mike Coheely, Brandon Haynes, Kevin Clark, Nicholas Mansour, Tristan Easterwood, and Michael Mansour. A Calhoun County native, Mrs. Jones was born on June 7, 1938, the daughter of Thomas Woodrow Handley and Elsie Handley. She was Congregational Methodist by faith and worked as a seamstress for Bremen-Bowdon Investment Company. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Tommy Wayne Jones; one daughter, Cynthia Noles; one grandson, Bradley Clark; and one sister Marie Hayes.
