Graveside services for William “Bill” Wilder, 77, of Anniston will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Wedowee City Cemetery with Dr. Roland Brown and David Bowen officiating and Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Wilder passed away Sunday, June 7, 2020, at his residence. Survivors include his wife, Idell Benefield Wilder of Anniston; two sons, B. G. Harvel, Jr. (Tammy), of Wedowee, and Todd Harvel (Jennifer) of Roanoke; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Ann McCord (Billy) of Birmingham; and one brother, Ralph Wilder (Madilyn) of Madisonville, TN. Pallbearers will be Wayne Browning, Jerry Browning, Randy Kirby, Tim McCord, Jared Kirby, and O.W. Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Hale and Bennie Wilder. A Randolph County native, Mr. Wilder was born on September 5, 1942, the son of Joseph Winfred and Mattie Lee Stephens Wilder. He was a United States National Guard veteran, worked in a machine shop, and attended Rocky Branch Baptist Church. Mr. Wilder was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Ailene Kirby.
