Obituary of Jerusha Glenn Green

Graveside services for Jerusha Glenn Green, age 93, of Wedowee will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at 11:00 AM at Antioch Baptist Cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 PM on Tuesday, September 29. 

Mrs. Green passed away Friday, September 25, 2020, at Roanoke Healthcare.

Survivors include: one son, Gregory Green (Marla) of Wedowee; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A Wedowee native, Mrs. Green was born on March 21, 1927, the daughter of William and Ellen Sterling Glenn.  She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and worked as a dietician with the VA government hospital.  Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her parents; son, Rickey Darrel Green; two sisters; and four brothers.

Due to Covid-19, the family asks that anyone attending the visitation to come but please do not linger.  Also, anyone attending the visitation and/or service, please wear a mask and practice social distancing.  Because of the pandemic, the family will not be accepting any food or visitors at home.  Thank you for your understanding.
