Obituary of Shannon Gene Foster

Graveside services for Shannon Gene Foster, age 47, of Heflin will be held on Friday, October 2, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Valley Grove Cemetery with Rev. David Reaves officiating with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM on Friday, October 2 before services begin.

Mr. Foster passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2020, at his residence.

Survivors include: three sons, Deriek Foster of Wedowee, Riley Foster and Canaan Foster, both of Heflin; mother, Joy Reaves Foster; and a half-brother, Brian Rollins of Heflin.

A Wedowee native, Mr. Foster was born on September 16, 1974, the son of Joel and Joy Reaves Foster.  He was a member of Beason Grove Baptist Church.  Mr. Foster was preceded in death by his father and grandparents, Neal and Mary Reaves and Gay and I. V. Foster.
