Obituary of Ethan Isaiah Henderson
Funeral services for Ethan Isaiah Henderson, “Rooster,” age 17, of Roanoke will be held on Monday, October 5, 2020, at 4:00 PM at Woodland First Congregational Methodist Church with Bro. David McPherson officiating and Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Sunday, October 4, 2020. Ethan will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Monday.
Ethan passed away Saturday, October 3, 2020, in Woodland.
Survivors include his parents, Jonathan and Tonya Rogers Henderson; grandparents, Jimmy & Cindy Holloway, Kirby Bassett, and Stan Autrey; brother, Tyler Henderson (Jurnee Holloway); nephew, Waylon Henderson; and aunts and uncles, Crystal Pool (Xavier), Misty Henderson, Kristie Bassett, Cody Traylor, Toby Traylor, and Gabby Rowland.
Pallbearers will be Lane Meadows, Kacy Smith, Sebastian Owens, Brock Edwards, Carter Jordan, Dalton Bolan, Matthew Butler, and Dale Robertson. Honorary pallbearers will be Luke Morgan, Will Worthy, Hunter Harrington, Logan Stephens, and Corey Langley.
A Randolph County native, Ethan was born on July 15, 2003, in Alex City, Alabama. He was a member of Woodland First Congregational Methodist Church and a Senior at Woodland High School. Ethan worked for Howe Pool Services during the summer. He was an avid coon hunter and was a member of Team Dirty South and participated in PKC, UKC, AKC, Co-op, and established the club Southern Mafia. Ethan was preceded in death by his grandmother, Regina Pate Autrey.
