Obituary of Imogene P. Williamson Lindley
Mrs. Imogene P. Williamson Lindley, formerly of Wedowee, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2020.
Mrs. Lindley was born November 5, 1937 to the late Corburt H. and Ellon Pullen from Roanoke, AL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband William Curtis “Ed” Williamson, Jr.; husband J. Cecil Lindley; and siblings Henry Pullen, Horace Pullen, Marlin Pullen, Mildred Smith, and Josephine McCord Lane.
Mrs. Lindley is survived by a large immediate family including her two children: William Curtis “Bill” Williamson, III and Melanie Dawn Williamson (fiancé Will Hardeman); Six grandchildren: Kiley McKay Williamson, Latrice Phillips (Ricky), Jadie Baldwin-Hamm (Jeremy), Chaffin Allen (Lindsay), Avery Allen (Brendan) and Corburt Allen (Amanda); and 12 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are a brother-in-law Daniel C. Williamson (Wanda) and three sisters-in-law: Mrs. Ruth Pullen, Mrs. Curtis Jane Burns (Joe, Jr.) and Ms. Elizabeth Williamson; son-in law Charles W. Allen and a large group of nieces and nephews.
The family will gather for a private celebration of life and plans to hold a graveside interment for family and friends at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Wedowee First United Methodist Church in Wedowee, AL.
