Graveside services for Gordon Harrington, age 86, of Roanoke will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2020, at 2:00 PM CST at Bethel East Baptist Cemetery with Bro. Keith Runels officiating and Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00-2:00 PM CST on Sunday before services begin.

Mr. Harrington passed away Thursday, November 5, 2020, The Oaks in Carrollton, Georgia.

Survivors include: three daughters, Shelia Geter (Frankie) of Bowdon, Ga, Melinda Robinson (Greg) of Wedowee, and Krista Traylor (Thomas) of Woodland; one son, Tim Gordon Harrington (Lynn) of Woodland; ten grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Robinson of Opelika, AL; and one brother, Steve Harrington of LaGrange, GA.

Pallbearers will be Mr. Harrington’s grandsons and great-grandsons.

A Woodland native, Mr. Harrington was born on March 1, 1934, the son of George Henry Harrington and Ethel Parmer Langley.  He was a member of Bethel East Baptist Church and worked as a welder for Trent Tube Company.  Mr. Harrington was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marie Harrington; and one brother, Neal Harrington.

Memorials may be floral or donations may be made to Bethel East Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
