Obituary of Fred Calvin Phillips

Funeral services for Fred Calvin Phillips, age 79, of Franklin, GA, will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, at 1:00 PM CST at Benefield Funeral Chapel.  Burial will follow at Liberty East Baptist Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00-7:00 PM, Alabama time, on Monday, November 16, 2020.

Mr. Phillips passed away Saturday, November 14, 2020, at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Ga.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Phillips of Franklin, GA; three daughters, Denice Phillips, Darlene Sailors (Michael), and Diane Huddleston (Jeff), all of Franklin, GA; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A LaGrange native, Mr. Phillips was born on November 17, 1940, the son of Lonnie and Grace Boatner Phillips.  He was a member of Liberty East Baptist Church, was a United States Army veteran, and worked as an electrician for the City of Atlanta.  Mr. Phillips was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and three brothers.
