Obituary of Kristina Waters Clarke

Funeral services for Kristina “Tina” Waters Clarke, age 62, of Delta will be held on Friday, December 11, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Christiana Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Bain officiating and Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of arrangements.  The service will be held outdoors at the church and will be broadcast on 89.3 FM for those who want to remain in their vehicle.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:30-8:00 PM on Thursday, December 10, 2020.

Mrs. Clarke passed away Monday, December 7, 2020, at Emory Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.

Survivors include her husband, Keith Clarke of Delta; daughter, Hannah Strickland (Kevin) of Delta; two sons, Jeremy Clarke (Christi) of Lineville and Jacob Clarke (Karen) of Gadsden; six grandchildren, Cassidy Gallahar, Jalen Clarke, Kamoryn Strickland, Haidyn Strickland, Kasyn Strickland, and Elizabeth Clarke.

Pallbearers will be Markeys Roundtree, Jalen Clarke, Wayne Ford, Braeden Ziegler, Josh Bryant, and Michael Waters.

A Delta native, Mrs. Clarke was born on January 27, 1958, the daughter of William Clydene and Marcella Taylor Waters.  She was a member of Christiana Baptist Church and was a school teacher for the Randolph County Board of Education.  Mrs. Clarke was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Grady Waters, Ronnie Waters, and Keith Waters; and one sister, Lora Mae Waters.
