Obituary of Angelia Mae Denny
Funeral services for Angelia Mae Denny, age 55, of Wedowee will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at 12:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Sylvester Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Wedowee City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 PM on Monday, December 28, 2020.
Ms. Denny passed away Thursday, December 24, 2020, at her residence.
Survivors include: her mother, Annie Mae Bailey Denny; three daughters, April Denny, Natalie Denny, and Tasha Denny, all of Wedowee; grandchildren, Martavious, Jeremiah, Arianna, Alerjandra, Aaliyah, and Alexius; three sisters, Sherry Denny Brown of Anniston, Brenda Denny Rutlin and Rochelle Tatum (Johnny), both of Wedowee; two brothers, Johnny Will Denny and Jessie Jerome Denny, both of Wedowee; half-siblings, Rosie Lee Johnson of Roanoke, Yvette Wallace, Kortavia Farley, and Batavia Farley, all of Atlanta; and special friends, Minister Linda Ann Bailey, Rev. Veresia Houston, and Dewanna Bledsoe.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Tatum, Melvin Todd, Jeremiah Knight, Fred Goodwin, Reginal Heflin, and Mark Jemmott.
A Wedowee native, Ms. Denny was born on October 8, 1965, the daughter of I. V. Johnson and Annie Mae Bailey Denny. She was a member of New Area Baptist Church and worked in the packing and shipping department at Plantation Patterns and as a CNA at Roanoke Healthcare. Ms. Denny was preceded in death by her father; three brothers, Danny Denny, Charlie Fred Denny, and David Denny; life mate, Rickey D. Green; and half-siblings, Robert and Melvin Johnson.
