Private graveside services for Jeanette Green Prince, age 93, of Woodland will be held Saturday, January 16, 2021, at Napoleon Church of Christ Cemetery at 3:00 PM with Brother Kevin Presley officiating.  

Mrs. Prince passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at her residence.

Survivors include three daughters, Wilda Yarbrough (husband, Max) of Woodland, Rita Whitaker (close friend, Larry Thompson) of Roanoke, and Kathy Prince of Woodland; five sons, Ronnie Prince (wife, Brenda) and Tim Prince, both of Woodland, Glenn Prince (wife, Patricia) of Roanoke, Sidney Prince (wife Sandra) of Graham, and Kenneth Prince (wife, Karen) of Carthage, MO; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren with one on the way; one great-great-grandchild on the way; and one sister-in-law, Cordie Bell Green of Woodland.

Pallbearers will be Mrs. Prince’s grandsons, great-grandsons, and her granddaughters’ spouses.

A Woodland native, Mrs. Prince was born on August 31, 1927, the daughter of William Henry Grady and Augusta Arizonia Sears Green.  She was a member of Napoleon Church of Christ and retired from Bremen-Bowdon Investment Company and worked at Rita’s Little Angels where she was affectionately known as “Maw Maw” to many children.  Mrs. Prince attended Jacksonville State University where she earned a teaching certificate and taught school at Graham.  She was one of four generations to attend Jacksonville State University.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Calvin C. Prince; son-in-law, Dan Whitaker; two sisters, Catherine Morgan and Lilllie Shaw; and two brothers, Napoleon Green and Clifford Green.

Memorials may be floral or donations may be made to Compassus Hospice at 4455 US Highway 431, Roanoke, AL 36274.
