Obituary of Fayrine Brown Heard

Funeral services for Fayrine Brown Heard, 82, of Woodland will be held on Monday, February 8, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Bro. David Daniel and Mark Mitchell officiating.  Burial will follow at Big Springs Baptist Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Sunday, February 7, 2021.

Mrs. Heard passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021, at her residence.

Pallbearers will be Tim Edmondson, Chris Brown, Rod Siggers, Tyler Heard, Ricky Martin, and John Jacobs.

Survivors include: one daughter, Mary Ann Parker (Gary) of Ashland; two sons, Michael Heard (Janice) and James “Jamie” Heard (Allison), both of Woodland; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Thelma Lewis of Talladega; and one brother, John Brown of Roanoke.

A Randolph County native, Mrs. Heard was born on September 21, 1938, the daughter of Henry and Minnie Coker Brown.  She was a member of Big Springs Baptist Church and worked in the cafeteria at Woodland High School.  Mrs. Heard was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bobby Jack Heard; and siblings, Kinsman Brown, Marie Richardson, Mildred Heptinstall, Letha Richardson, Mattie Chase, and Barbara Jean Vogel; and sister-in-law, Jane Brown.

Memorials may be floral or donations may be made to the Big Springs Baptist Cemetery Fund.
