Obituary of Blanche Knighton Henry

Memorial services for Blanche Knighton Henry, age 87, of Wedowee will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at 11 AM at St. Peter's Anglican Church in Mountain Brook, AL.

Mrs. Henry passed away Sunday, April 11, 2021, at Lineville Health and Rehabilitation in Lineville, AL.

Survivors include: one daughter, Donna Yatsko of Virginia Beach, VA; two sons, Kirk Henry (Janie) of Wedowee and George Henry (Lynn) of Atlanta, GA; four grandchildren, James Henry, Tinsley Henry, Michael Yatsko (Ingris), and Heather Ferry (Justin); and two great-grandchildren, Noah Yatsko and Matthew Yatsko.

A Birmingham native, Mrs. Henry was born on August 13, 1933, the daughter of Albert and Margaret Knighton.  She was a very active member of St. Peter’s Anglican Church in Mountain Brook, was a housewife, and served as president of the Greystone Garden Club.  Mrs. Henry was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jim Henry.
