Funeral services for Larry J. Holloway, age 74, of Wedowee will be held on Friday, May 28, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Bro. Steve Murphy officiating with burial at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00-9:00 PM on Thursday, May 27, 2021.

Mr. Holloway passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at Regional Medical Center in Anniston, Alabama.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Patty Gail Holloway of Wedowee; one daughter, Selinda Gail Murphy (Sergio) of Douglasville, GA; two sons, Christian Pool (Angie) of North Dakota and Kendall Pool (Jennifer) of Oxford, AL; ten grandchildren, Renae Pool, Brandi Pool, Sarah Pool, Abigail Pool, Coren Pool, Arilyn Pool, Kaelyn Pool, J. J. Moran, Lorelei Moran, and Phoenix Murphy; and one sister, Lillie Richardson of California.

Pallbearers will be J. J. Moran, Wally Williamson, Gene Garza, Dusty Moore, Jordon Moore, Lamar Payne, and Scotty Whaley.

A Randolph County native, Mr. Holloway was born on January 19, 1947, the son of Roy and Maudie Simpson Holloway.  He was Baptist by faith and worked as a beamer operator at Mohawk Industries.  Mr. Holloway was preceded in death by his parents; two granddaughters, Maddie and Maggie Moran; five sisters, Mavis, Francis, Sarah, Bernice, and Rachel; and three brothers, Walter, Roosevelt, and Harvis.
