Obituary of Shirley McManus

Funeral services for Shirley Ann McManus, age 77, of Wedowee will be held on Friday, July 23, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. T. J. Morgan officiating.  Burial will follow at Gold Ridge Baptist Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00-2:00 PM on Friday before services begin.

Mrs. McManus passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham.

Survivors include: two daughters, Sabrina McManus Lovvorn and Tina Kilgore, both of Wedowee; one son, Michael McManus of Wedowee; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one brother, Billy Joe Willingham of Heflin.

Pallbearers will be Mrs. McManus’ family.

A Cleburne County native, Mrs. McManus was born on November 11, 1943, the daughter of Edmond and Lucille Norrell Willingham.  She was a member of Crumbley’s Chapel Church of God and was a housewife.  Mrs. McManus was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Wayne McManus; and three sons, Billy Wayne McManus, Randy Wallace McManus, and Mark Anthony McManus.
