Obituary of Nora Ann Trammell Pinkard

Funeral services for Nora Ann Trammell Pinkard, age 49, of Roanoke will be held on Friday, August 6, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Douglas Jones and Rev. William Phillips officiating.  A private burial will follow at New Harmony Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Lafayette for immediate family only.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, August 5, 2021.

Per the family’s request, anyone attending the funeral service and/or visitation will be required to wear a mask.

Ms. Pinkard passed away Friday, July 30, 2021, at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, GA.

Survivors include her parents, Tommie Lee and Elizabeth Roundtree Trammell of Roanoke; siblings, Tammie Wilkes and Angela Lee Trammell, both of Roanoke, Debbie Trammell (fiancé, Corey Allen), of Palmetto, GA, Sherekkia Trammell of Roanoke, Juanita Sistrunk (Anthony) of Columbus, GA, and Melissa Trammell (fiancé, Jonathan Swint Frazier) of Roanoke; and nieces and nephews, Jamahrio Trammell (fiancé, Ashley Harris), Tykeon Wilkes, Justice Reese, Deontae McCurty, JaNiya Wilkes, Shanavia McCurty, Latterrian Barsh, Jakiya Wilkes, Keyasia Barsh, Kierra Smarr, Alijah Chapman, and Jaylin Sistrunk.

Pallbearers will be Ms. Pinkard’s nephews and cousins.

A Roanoke native, Ms. Pinkard was born on October 19, 1971, the daughter of Tommie Lee and Elizabeth Roundtree Trammell.  She was a member of New Harmony Missionary Baptist Church and worked at the Randolph County Learning Center and as an inspector for Inflation Systems, Inc.  Ms. Pinkard was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jack and Nora Lee Roundtree and Doris and Lawson Trammell.
