Obituary of Lori Powers

Memorial services for Lori Ann Powers, age 47, of Newell will be held on Sunday, December 19, 2021, at 2 PM at Iduma Congregational Methodist Church with Rev. Brian Moore officiating. 

Ms. Powers passed away Monday, December 13, 2021, in Roanoke, Alabama.

Survivors include: two daughters, Jessica Leach (Chris) and Lacey Blankenship, both of Newell; one son, Noah Powers (Savanna) of Texas; seven grandchildren; one sister, Sandi Burroughs (Robby) of Opelika; and two brothers, Robert Powers (Paige) of Coldwater and Ronnie Powers of Roanoke.

A Calhoun County native, Ms. Powers was born on March 1, 1974, the daughter of Frank and Joyce Whitman Powers.  She was Christian by faith and was self-employed.  Ms. Powers was preceded in death by her parents.
