Obituary of Larry L Falks

Funeral services for Larry L. Falks, age 77, of Wedowee, will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at 3:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jerry Smith officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00-3:00 PM on Wednesday before services begin.

Mr. Falks passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022, at UAB Palliative Care in Birmingham, Alabama.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Edwards Falks of Wedowee; three sons, Michael L. Falks of Wedowee, Scott H. Falks of Eclectic, and Larry S. Falks of Wedowee; three grandchildren, Tyler Falks, Chandler Falks, and Seanna Falks; one sister, Diane Blackburn of Wedowee; one brother, Wiley Falks of Pascagoula, MS; a half-sister, Virginia Schaffer of Cagoula, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A Mississippi native, Mr. Falks was born on February 29, 1944, the son of Wiley and Carrie Lindsey Falks.  He was a United States Air Force veteran of the Vietnam and Desert Shield conflicts and a self-employed welder.  Mr. Falks was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Charlotte Greene.
