Obituary of Betty Sue Futral Bishop

Funeral services for Betty Sue Futral Bishop, age 77, of Roanoke will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Allen and Rev. Fred Cook officiating.  Burial will follow at Lafayette City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, March 24, 2022.

Mrs. Bishop passed away Monday, March 21, 2022, at her residence.

Survivors include her husband, Tommy Bishop of Roanoke; one daughter, Robyn Michele Bishop of Atlanta, GA; two sisters, Norma Bailey of Goodwater, AL, and Cindy Lashley of Alexander City, AL; and one brother, Eddie Futral of Alexander City, AL.

Pallbearers will be Hewell Bishop, Frank Bishop, Darrell Bishop, James Kendrick, Eddie Futral, and Bobby Kendrick.  Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Builders Sunday School Class from the First Baptist Church in Wedowee.

A Kansas native, Mrs. Bishop was born on March 19, 1945, the daughter of Adrain and Charlotte Selbe Futral.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wedowee and was a homemaker.  Mrs. Bishop was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Donna Fuller; and one brother, Robert Futral.
